Mumbai: The 27th edition of LED Expo, scheduled from May 9 – 11 at Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra, Mumbai, promises a showcase of new products and innovations in the lighting industry. With a sold-out show floor featuring 185+ exhibiting companies, including 49 new participants, this expo sets the stage for the next chapter in the lighting and LED sector.
Hosted in Mumbai, LED Expo 2024 is set to become a key trade fair for lighting industry professionals, offering a platform for showcasing the latest innovations, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities. The event will feature leading brands such as Arihant Lighting Solutions, Asmon Industries, Bag Electronics & Technology, Green Surfer, Hans Enterprises, Neptune Lights, Optiks Mechatronics, Pride Lighting, Power Palazzo, Saini Semiconductors, Tektronics, Uniglobus Electricals & Electronics, VR Kabel, Zylos MV Technologies, alongside international brands like Demak Italy, Rayrun International, Ferrics, and Eton Machines.

Fueled by rapid infrastructure and real estate developments, particularly in India, along with growing demand for customized, cost-effective, and durable lighting solutions, the sector holds a promising future.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, highlighted the impact of government initiatives like the Unnat Jyoti Affordable LEDs for All (UJALA) Scheme and LED Street Lighting National Programme (SLNP) in driving the adoption of energy-efficient lighting solutions. He commended LED Expo Mumbai 2024 for its role in promoting indigenisation of LED products and raising awareness about energy efficiency.
The expo will feature several new product launches, including:
- Niiv Lites: New outdoor LED lights, including water-proof wall washer lights
- Neptune Lights India: Launching new architecture and interior lighting under the 'Neptune Signature' brand
- JN Lighting LLP: Introducing indoor and outdoor lights under the 'TINGE' brand
- Arihant LED Lighting: Presenting innovations in the Sancon LED range, offering enhanced performance and design
- Optiks Mechatronics: Launching RGBW/Mono Flexible Wall Washer Lights with improved light efficacy and impact resistance
- Green Surfer: Introducing new products in Solar Street lights, LED Lights, and energy-saving house wires
- Tektronics: Unveiling PC Wall Lights with premium quality and new technology
- Saini Semiconductors: Launching the Lithium-Ion Battery Cell - Tianneng/TLNC-18650-2600R, designed for EV applications with ultra-low internal resistance
The expo will also feature curated workshops and panel discussions, including:
- 9th May: Workshop by Women in Lighting on Sustainable Practices
- 10th May: Sessions on Fundamentals of Lighting by Illuminating Engineering Society (IES)
The Indian LED lighting market is projected to grow by 20.4% and reach US$23.2 billion by 2032, according to IMARC Group report. Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, expressed excitement about the industry's growth and the innovations at LED Expo Mumbai 2024. The expo aims to provide a platform for industry professionals to explore energy-efficient solutions and showcase new products.
Supported by industry bodies such as Luminaires Accessories Components Manufacturers Association (LACMA), Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY), and others, LED Expo 2024 will feature a diverse range of products including components, chips, raw materials, accessories, lighting products, LED signage and displays, manufacturing equipment, solar-powered LED lighting, research and testing equipment, and more.
LED Expo is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fair portfolio, including the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany.
